Black Fashion @ MET Gala "Superheroes: Fashion and Fantasy"

Yesterday was one of the most fabulous fashion events of the year, "Superheroes: Fashion and Fantasy" Costume Institute Gala at the Metropolitan Museum. This was a star studded event, and the majority of those who attended looked elegant, sophisticated, and of course chic.

Janet Jackson was a vision in this white dress. Her man, Jermaine Durpri looked very sleek in his all black suit.

Still on the fence with this geometric print dress on Joy Bryant. It looks uncomfortable and very restrictive.

Kimora Lee Simmons looked very colorful in this dress. This silhouette looks great on her body. Djimon Hounsou looks very sharp.

Thandie Newton was working it in this short black lace mini. I like the look, however I think she should of worn something a little more formal to this event.

Some very fashionable news has just been released from WWD (Women's Wear Daily) today, that model/mogul Kimora Lee Simmons will be launching a juniors line exclusively, at JC Penny's. The line is called, Fabulusity and will debut in stores nationwide in July. The line is affordable, with prices ranging from $29.00 to $108.00.  Smart, stylish, and business savvy. You never know what Kimora will do next.

Kimora was spotted out with her daughters and boyfriend, over the weekend. Her outfit is casual chic. I love the flowy spring top she is wearing, and the Chanel bag is fierce. This is also one of the few times I have not seen Kimora rockin' heels. 

Scene Stealer

It is not Friday yet, but I have to crown this week's Scene Stealer early. Kimora Lee Simmons is the Scene Stealer of the week. Yesterday the fabulous mogul threw a launch party for her new fragrance, Baby Phat Fabulosity. Kimora is glowing in this grecian inspired ensemble. The gold and cobalt blue colors compliment her skin tone very well. The dress is flattering, and accentuates her best features, her model-esque legs. It is also important to point out, that she did not go overboard with accessories. Ladies take note.

Last night Kimora attended the premiere of "Never Back Down" in Hollywood. Her new man has a part in the film, and she was there to support him. I love Kimora, and her fashion style. This dress she wore looks Indian inspired, and I like the sheer fabric in it. This is a fun and flirty dress that showed off her legs nicely.

Last night the original material girl, Madonna, hosted a glamourous party with Gucci. The party was called, "A Night To Benefit Raising Malawi and UNICEF". Check out all the fabulous fashion below.

Baby Phat's Fall 2008/2009 Fashion Show

It is one of my favorite times of the year, New York Fashion Week. Last night Kimora debuted Baby Phat's Fall 2008/2009 collection. The show took place at the Roseland Ballroom. Of course there were a plethora of celebs, some who were hot and some not. The overall collection looked like a mix between old hollywood glamour, and moulin rouge. I loved the bright bold colors, and how they were paired with hues of gray.

Kimora Gets Personal

Kimora Lee Simmons and Djimon Hounsou will be giving the public a look into their relationship in the February issue of Harper's Bazaar. The style icon and dashing actor are Hollywood's new "it" couple. They both look happy and sexy in this shot. I love the shoes that Kimora is wearing, and the crisp white dress shirt is so classy and chic.
