SATC New York Premiere Style

Let the countdown begin! Sex And The City will be premiering in your local theater this Friday. I for one am so excited, and can't wait to see it. Last night was the highly anticipated New York City premiere of the film. Of course it was a stylish event, and many celebrities attended.

Jennifer Hudson's dress looked ok. To me her accessories are what made her outfit pop.

Not a huge fan of the dress Mary J. Blige is wearing. It does nothing for her shape, and is a bit boring.

Michelle Williams was definitely the scene stealer of the night. She looked stunning in this purple and black dress.

Way to much floral going on in this ensemble Gayle King is wearing. This is the SATC premiere, not a spring picnic.

Lil Kim definitely could be spotted out of a crowd in this outfit. Not a fan of the dress, but her shoes are fierce.

Scene Stealer

Mary J. Blige is this week's scene stealer. She looks fabulous, and stunning in this strapless red dress by Roberto Cavalli. Mary wore this to the AMfAR’s Cinema Against AIDS 2008, which took place at Le Moulin de Mougins, France. I do have one critique. Less is more, and she should have only wore bracelets on one are. The dress is so gorgeous, it does not need accessories distracting attention from it.

Alicia, Jill & Mary's Essence Cover Style

For the June issue, Alicia Keys, Jill Scott, and Mary J. Blige will be on the cover of Essence magazine. These three beautiful ladies, look absolutely fabulous on these covers. The color choices for each of their outfits look great on them. They all look so fashionable, and chic. The stylist over at Essence did a great job on all three covers.

Mary J. Blige's Today Show Style

Yesterday Mary J. Blige performed on NBC's Today show. She looked great. I love her lightweight trench coat. The colors go well with her blond hair. She looks fly, and her black patent high heeled boots are sexy. Work it Mary!

Black Fashion @ MET Gala "Superheroes: Fashion and Fantasy"

Yesterday was one of the most fabulous fashion events of the year, "Superheroes: Fashion and Fantasy" Costume Institute Gala at the Metropolitan Museum. This was a star studded event, and the majority of those who attended looked elegant, sophisticated, and of course chic.

Mary J. Blige in a strapless black ballgown
Paula Patton radiates in a gold form fitting dress
Venus Williamson with Andre Leon Talley. Both looking very stylish.
Andre 3000 looking dapper, however the straw hat could have been left at home.
Beyonce glowing and looking absolutely fabulous.
Janet Jackson was a vision in this white dress. Her man, Jermaine Durpri looked very sleek in his all black suit.
Still on the fence with this geometric print dress on Joy Bryant. It looks uncomfortable and very restrictive.
Kimora Lee Simmons looked very colorful in this dress. This silhouette looks great on her body. Djimon Hounsou looks very sharp.
Thandie Newton was working it in this short black lace mini. I like the look, however I think she should of worn something a little more formal to this event.

Concert Style

Over the weekend Jay-Z and Mary J. Blige performed in Miami. Here are some shots from backstage. Both Jay-Z and Mary looked stylish, and I love the chic shades they are rockin'. Kanye wore a unique satin jacket, and I can only see him pulling it off.

Oscar After Party Fashions

I am sure almost everyone knew that last night the Oscars were on. It is pretty well known that for the majority of viewers they are only watching to catch a glimpse of what the celebs are wearing. Below are some fashionable and not so fashionable celebs that attended some of the Oscar's after parties. What do think of their outfits?

Zoe Saldana
Russell Simmons & Porschla Coleman

Glitter and Gold Overload

Mary J.'s style is usually on point, but for some reason I am not a fan of this golden tiered, empire dress. The color looks beautiful on her, but I think there is just too much golden glitter, and shine. At least she went light on the accessories. The dress is not very flattering on for her body type, and the tiered layers are making her look wider than she is.

Banned: Boots With Fur

Ladies pay attention for an important announcement. Fur boots are out! Yes they were the rage for the past couple of seasons, but the time has come to give them a break. I love Mary but I am not loving the boots she wore to the Mad Money movie premiere. The big trend in boots right now are the riding boots. These offer a classic look and come in a variety of styles and colors. Mary's outfit would've looked a lot better if she wore some dark brown leather riding boots, with a 2 inch heel.

All Hail Mary

Mary J. Blige looks great in these pictures, that can be found in the next upcoming issue of Vibe. In these shots she looks so confident, and chic. Normally horizontal stripes really should not be worn on anyone, but Mary is one of the few people that can pull it off. The stylist for this photo shoot styled her well, and picked clothing that shows off her body in a sexy yet mature way. The aviator sunglasses add an extra touch of cool to this sleek and glamorous outfit. Is it me or do her and Keyshia Cole look more alike than ever?

Mary Is Furbulous

I am going to out on a limb, and take a guess that PETA is not feelin' this long fur coat that Mary J. Blige is wearing. Even if you are against fur, you have to admit that Mary is looking fabulous.  Mary is pictured here with her husband at her album release party, that took place last night. I think Mary looks great in her all white ensemble, however I am a little disappointed that  she wore black shoes. Everything looks great until you get down to the shoes. This look would have been better had she wore a gold, cream, or brown shoes.
