Scene Stealer

The scene stealer of the week is Rihanna. She is currently in Paris, attending Fashion Week. She has been hitting up a lot of the shows there, including Chanel's Fall 2008/2009 runway show. She takes risk, and they work for her. Some people may not like this outfit, but the love that she is playing with bright colors. She is mixing it up a bit, and she continues to keep you guessing. FYI, bright yellow bags are the "IT" item to have this spring/summer.

Gabrielle's Swim Style

Yesterday Gabrielle Union was workin' it in Miami, doing a swimsuit photo shoot. I love the color of the suit on her, but I don't think the style is the most flattering for her body type. She is right on trend though with the types of color swimsuits that will be hot this summer. Pretty much anything neon, and bright is going to be in style.

Mario's Airport Style

Mario was recently spotted at LAX airport. I like his backpack, but I don't know how I feel about the scarf he is wearing. His look has too many accessories in my opinion. On a side note it will be very interesting to see how he does on the next season of Dancing with the Stars. 

Chic Couple

Paris fashion week is currently going on. Kanye and his fiance, Alexis attended the Stella McCartney Fall 2008/2009 show. This pair is always so stylish. I love Alexis' brown suede bag with the fringe on the bottom, and only Kanye can pull off wearing pants that color. They are such a chic couple. 

Dressed Down Style

Here Rihanna was spotted shopping in Dublin. She had just left Brown Thomas department store. Even dressed down Rihanna still looks fly. I love her leopard print bag, and her black riding boots. The dark green hoodie is a nice color on her, especially with her black hair color. This is the perfect example of how to dress comfortably, yet still be stylish.

TRL Style

Today Ashanti and Mariah Carey stopped by TRL. I like the black mock turtleneck Ashanti is wearing, but I dislike the pants. They make her look shorter, and may have worked better if they were shorts. Mariah is back to shopping at Rave again. She can't let go of clothing that is sheer, tight fitted, and includes a push up bra. I love you Mimi and you do look great, but you need a reinvention with your wardrobe.

A Fashion Don't: Hammer Pants

I love Janet, and her new album is so hot but these pants are not. Yesterday Janet's new album, Discipline debuted, and she attended an autograph signing in this outfit. Everything from the waist up is cute, but I don't know what she was thinking with the pants. Hammer pants are never going to be in style again. Caution please don't try and imitate this look on the street.

Vivica Looks Flawless

Normally I am not a fan of the ensembles Vivica wears, but I have to give it to her this time. She looks amazing in this dress. Vivica is pictured here attending the Ungaro fashion show in Paris. Maybe she needs to go to Paris more often, it appears the city has made her more stylish.

T.I.'s Playboy Style

Even though T.I. is still dealing with his legal problems it is clearly not stopping this hustler from getting his fashion hustle on. T.I. has designed a custom line of T-shirts, for Playboy's Rock the Rabbit campaign. These T-shirts will be available online, and at Bloomingdales. 

Fresh Prince Kicks

Puma and The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air are collaborating in a collection. The collection will include the graffiti sneakers you see pictured, and also a gold watch. This collection will be available May 17th. I think this is a great idea, and the design on the sneakers is so fresh. 

Alicia Keys Got Flare

Alicia Keys is on the March cover of Flare magazine. Flare is a Canadian fashion magazine. She looks absolutely breathtaking, and she is such a classic beauty. The fuchsia and gold colors in her magazine spread look great on her, and complement her skin tone very well. Gold is a very hot accessory color for the spring and summer seasons coming up.

I am sure almost everyone knew that last night the Oscars were on. It is pretty well known that for the majority of viewers they are only watching to catch a glimpse of what the celebs are wearing. Last night Beyonce was caught going into a restaurant, La Esquina. I really love the boots she is wearing, and her oversized bag is chic. I am not really feelin' her short bubble coat, and I am not a fan of her blond wig at all. Recently her hair has been going through multiple changes, more rapidly than normally. I wonder why.

Scene Stealer

The scene stealer of the week is Paula Patton. She attended the Essence Women In Hollywood luncheon, and looked absolutely fabulous. This look is right on trend, and the white belt really makes this dress pop. It is so refreshing to see someone not go overboard with accessories. Since the dress has a polka dot print, and the white belt is so bright, adding any accessories would only take away from this look.

Essence Luncheon Fashions

It is definitely way overdue, but yesterday Essence Magazine held their 1st Annual Black Women In Hollywood luncheon. There were many fabulous, and fashionable celebs in attendance. Will and Jada are one of Hollywood's golden couples, and they always look great. They are each other best looking accessory. Gabrielle Union has been making some strides in the fashion department, and becoming somewhat of a style icon. She looks great in the is dress, and the gold bangles are a perfect touch with the look. She is always classy yet sexy. Lisa Raye looked very nice in this pink satin dress. The color went well with her skin tone.

Ebony Oscar Pre-Party Style

Last night Ebony Magazine held their Oscar pre-party in Hollywood. For the most part all who attended the event were very stylish. Lisa Raye wore a cute bronze satin cocktail dress, that was very flirty. Her hair cut also added to the outfit, making her look stunning. Karrine Steffans was in attendance and looked chic, surprisingly. It is really hard to go wrong wearing all black. Holly Robinson-Peete always looks gorgeous, and she looks like she has not aged at all. Her dress seemed to be inspired from a 1920's flapper outfit, I love it.

Reebok Style

Lil Kim and Christina Milian were just two of the celebrities that showed up for the Reebok Freestyle World Tour. Christina looks stylish as usual. Lil Kim's outfit doesn't look too bad, and actually I am surprised that she is so covered up. I am not really feelin' the pose she is striking in this picture though. 

Glitter and Gold Overload

Mary J.'s style is usually on point, but for some reason I am not a fan of this golden tiered, empire dress. The color looks beautiful on her, but I think there is just too much golden glitter, and shine. At least she went light on the accessories. The dress is not very flattering on for her body type, and the tiered layers are making her look wider than she is. 

Not Feelin' This Look

Beyonce normally is one of my favorite celebs to watch when it comes to fashion, but this ensemble is not cute. Here Beyonce is leaving BAR Pitti in Manhattan (I am guessing that the other guy in the picture is one of her bodyguards). The entire look is just too baggy, and I have no words for the hat she is wearing. The jacket she is wearing would've looked better with some tighter dark blue jeans, and the hat just has to go. 

Lunchtime Style

Sanaa Lathan was spotted after having lunch at the Ivy in L.A. Since she is such a beautiful women it is hard for her to look bad, however this outfit is making that a little easier. It really is everything from the waist down, that is the problem. If she would've worn some jeans and some cute flats, or sneakers the outfit could've worked. The sunglasses are fly, but the standout item has to be the bag she is rockin'. This Gucci bag is hot, and really saves her in the style department.

Gorgeous Gowns & Chic Coats

Fashion week in Milan is going on right now, and below are some pieces from Versace's Fall/Winter 08/09 collection. The gowns in this collection make the models look like goddesses, and the coats are wild and stylish. Apparently if you didn't notice, shoulders are  must have accessory for the season. All the gowns show off the shoulders very nicely. Another note worthy piece to mention were the shoes. The sky high sexy, strappy platforms were definitely eye-catching. 

Brit Awards Fashions

Here we have Rihanna and Kelly Rowland arriving at the Brit Awards. Rihanna as usual looks stunning and fashionable. Kelly on the other hand looks like she is trying to hard. That dress does not work for her, mainly because she is not known as a fashion risk taker. She normally wears more classic pieces, and that works for her. Honestly her dress would've looked better on someone like Kelis or Rihanna. 

Danity Kane's Cover Style

The new season of Making The Band 4 is great reality television. Danity Kane is really putting the new guys to shame in the singing department on the show. I think their album is going to do better. Anyways here is there album cover, which is entitled Welcome to the Dollhouse. This cover has a sultry and angelic look going on. It definitely looks more stylish than their first album cover.

New York Premiere

In New York last night was the Raisin in the Sun television movie premiere. Diddy looked so fly, and suave. Many men can learn a thing or two from Diddy's fashion choices. The standout item on him has to be his coat. It screams, "I've got taste".

L.L. Cool J could've dressed up a little more for this premiere. I guess he is still trying to play down his real age, and come across like he is still in his twenties. 

Who Is Not Stylish?

Last night was the Lauren London hosted a GIANT Magazine party, and many members of the Bad Boy family attended. Lauren looked great. I really love the yellow cropped jacket she is rockin'. One person below was not so stylish, can you guess which one? (Hint: Stripes are not a girl's best friend.)
