Scruffy Style

It seems like Nick Cannon is getting scruffier everyday. Since his break up from his former Victoria's Secret girlfriend, he style game has gone way down hill. I never understand why some people wear under t-shirts with leather jackets? It just looks so bad, and sloppy. The tattoos are rumored to be for an upcoming movie role. I definitely hope so, for his sake . I hope Nick revamps his style game soon, because this is not a good look for him.

Ugly Boots

With Christmas drawer nearer each day everyone is heading out to do their fair share of shopping. Here Ms. Milian is out doing some shopping in Beverly Hills. I think everything from the waist up looks cute and cozy, but the pants and boots have to go. This outfit would've looked better had she worn some skinny dark denim jeans and some knee high camel or chocolate brown boots. I hate the boots more than the pants, however Christina Milian always looks nice when she steps outside. The paparazzi have been shooting her a lot lately. It must be nice to still get press without having any new projects out.

R. Kelly's Court Style

Finally R. Kelly has gone back to court. The pied-piper had been dodging going to court for awhile now, and yesterday he finally made an appearance. Regardless of how you feel about R. Kelly's case, I have to give him props for this suit. The color and fit looks good on him, he is still stylish even in a court of law. Unfortunately for the hit maker, he will not be judged on his outfit, but rather on child pornography charges. The outcome from this case is long overdue, and will definitely be interesting to see how things play out. 

Raven Out on The Town

This is a pleasant surprise, you rarely see Raven-Symone out and about. Here she is pictured attending Chris Angel's (Mind Freak) birthday party. Raven kept it simple yet chic. I like the fact that she wore the nude pumps, they elongate her legs, and make her look taller than she is. You can never go wrong with a black dress, however I wish she would've worn a different purse. This bag really takes all the attention away from her. A bold colored clutch, perhaps in red would have made a better statement. 

When Bad Clothes Are Worn By Good People

It's a bird. It's a plane. No, it's Super-Patti. Is it me or does she look like she is trying to be a sequenced super hero? This outfit is so wrong in so many ways. I don't know if she chose this herself, or if someone actually had a hand in encouraging her to wear this. If she did have help from a stylist, they need to be fired immediately. The only item that is in style with this look are her knee high boots, everything else makes Patti look like a joke. I respect her as a legendary singer and performer, but there is no way I can respect this outfit. Please Patti next time get a second opinion from a good fashion stylist. 

Mary Is Furbulous

I am going to out on a limb, and take a guess that PETA is not feelin' this long fur coat that Mary J. Blige is wearing. Even if you are against fur, you have to admit that Mary is looking fabulous.  Mary is pictured here with her husband at her album release party, that took place last night. I think Mary looks great in her all white ensemble, however I am a little disappointed that  she wore black shoes. Everything looks great until you get down to the shoes. This look would have been better had she wore a gold, cream, or brown shoes. 

It Girl On The Rise

This girl is on fire right now, and it is nice for a change to see the mainstream media taking such an active interest a rising star, who is not causing any drama or just being released from rehab. Jurnee Smollet is making moves and she is doing them in style. Her film with Denzel Washington, and Forest Whitaker does not even come out until next week, but she has become one of the main standout actors from the film. This is a picture of Jurnee coming out in the January 2008 issue of Vanity Fair. This look is very flirty, fun and a little naughty. The colors used in this look are very playful, and the 50's style is a trend to watch for next spring.

Snoop Does Vogue

No what you are seeing it not a prank using photoshop, it is indeed Snoop on the Cover of Italian Vogue. This may come as a shock to the Dogg's hardcore fans, but I for one like this side of Snoop. It is something different, and a long way from the days he was rockin' XXL flannel shirts and baggy dickies. This clothing Snoop dons for Vogue is more tailored, and suave. A change in style shows creativity, and we all can agree that Snoop is very creative. Perhaps this look is to go along with his new 70's sound. Snoop is definitely sensual and seductive in these shoots. 

Beyonce Sizzles

Beyonce can do no wrong in this outfit. She looks great, and I am glad to see that she is not wearing something dripping in tons glitter, and side splits. This dress is sexy and chic. The deep red color looks great with her new darker locks, and it is good to see that she did not over accessorize. Her shoes are subtle so that the dress is the main focus point of the entire look. Beyonce was in Milan promoting her new fragrance, Diamonds for Emporio Armani. 

Mel B. Is Red Hot

I think many people over look the big comeback Scary Spice (Melanie Brown) has had this year. Everyone wants to focus on Victoria Beckham coming to the states, but Mel B. has definitely taking some of the spotlight away from her fellow spice girl. Mel B. looks better than ever, and happier now that all that drama with her baby daddy Eddie Murphy has settled. Here she is leaving Cipriani restaurant in London, with her husband. Her long red trench coat is fabulous, and looks great on her. I love the peep-toe silver metallic heels she is wearing. The shoes add a touch of sass to a classic coat. Watch out Victoria Beckham, Mel B. is steppin up her fashion game.

Rihanna Covers Her Goodies

Thank God Rihanna did not pull a "Britney" getting out this vehicle. She may be a proclaimed bad girl, but she knows how to cover up so that her va-jay-jay is not exposed. Here the singer is arriving at Amika in London. This cobalt blue mini sweater dress is a great look on her, and I love that she paired it with some sexy fishnet stockings. She has great style sense, and always looks pulled together. 

Sluty Style

Oh this is such a bad look. Has this woman ever heard of Spanx? This woman was in attendance at Jamie Foxx's birthday party. This black one piece catsuit, is way too tight on her, and only magnifies all her problem areas. She is wearing too many accessories, and this outfit is ridiculous. She looks like she is about to either hit the pole or the corner in this get up. All I have to say is WTF. 

Nino Brown Inspired

Over the weekend Jamie Foxx celebrated his birthday in Miami, and threw a huge New Jack City themed bash. Here is a picture of Jamie in his birthday outfit, looking very Nino Brownish. The gold dookie chain is a fashion mistake, but Jamie is on trend when it comes to the black beret. The black and cream colors look good on him, and I like the fact that he went for a black on black tie and dress shirt combo. Jamie had a fabulous birthday with guest including LisaRaye McCoy-Misick , Fat Joe, and even Jaleel White. Jamie definitely knows how to party, I look forward to seeing what theme he comes up with for his next party. 

Alicia Mixes It Up

Alicia Keys has a distinct style, and it works for her. She always likes to stand out, and take fashion risks. Here she paired a green leather 'Beat It' inspired jacket with a plum purple top. It looks good on her, but I caution others who may try to duplicate this look. I am just glad to see that Ms. Keys is not rockin' the camel toe again, like she did a few weeks ago. I love that fact that she mixed metals together. She wore gold hoops, and some sexy silver metallic peep toe heels. This is outfit definitely fits Alicia well, and shows off her great curves. 

Stylish Sisters

So between these two tennis sisters, who looked more fabulous? For me Serena wins this one, because her dress is fun and flirty. It fits her body well, and I love the red with the gold undertone in her dress. The whole look just works for her. Venus on the other hand looks ok. I like that she went for a mixture of bold colors, and they look good against her skin tone. I don't like the fit of her dress, it has no shape to it and does nothing for her boyish body type. Her shoes also look a bit too casual, almost like she is wearing dressy flip flops. I really think Serena should have been a little more helpful to her sister, and suggested something else for her to wear. Perhaps she wants to be known as the more stylish one between the two.

ANTM Winner Looks Chic Around Town

If you missed the season finale of America's Next Top Model, here is the winner Saleisha Cooper. Since her win she has been making the publicity rounds at different television stations. Pictured above Saleisha is leaving the "Live with Regis and Kelly". I love her outfit, it is chic and very cute on her. I do think the Louis Vuitton handbag she is carrying is not the best style bag to wear with this outfit. The bag looks a bit to chunky next to her, and takes away from the entire look. I love the the dark tweed knee-length coat, and I think it is the standout item she is wearing. I look forward to seeing more of this winner, and what she does with her 15 minutes of fame. 

Janet Is Still Nasty

Here is a new promo shot of Ms. Jackson, for her upcoming album. Now I will say Janet looks great for her age, but those pants I am not feelin'. It makes me think of a Las Vegas showgirl revue or something. I do wish Janet could move away from bra tops, I feel like we have seen this look so many times before. 

A Crayon Threw Up On Her

So I am not even going to go there with Mrs. Ice Tea, and her outfit she wore to the I Am Legend premiere. I will leave this critique up to you. Is anyone really feelin' this look? 

Right On Trend

Jada Pinkett-Smith is workin' this dress at her husband's I Am Legend premiere. She looks great, and one of the few women that can show some skin and pull it off even better than some of young hollywood. She is rockin two major trends that are hot this season, metallic and jeweled tone colors. This emerald green strapless dress looks great on her, and she definitely has the body to wear it. I am glad to see that she paired the dress with gold metallic shoes instead of silver. Gold is a little more daring, and besides silver metallic has been showing up on everyone lately.

Scene Stealer

Some of you reading this might be wondering who this young woman is. Her name is Jurnee Smollett and you may remember her better as the little girl in Eve's Bayou, or as a teen in Roll Bounce with Bow Wow. She is the scene stealer of the week, I know its only Thursday but this dress is fabulous. Jurnee wore a Marchesa dress that screamed glam, to the premiere of the film The Great Debaters, which she co-stars alongside Denzel Washinton, and Forest Whitaker. Jurnee's dress makes her look like a goddess, and has a grecian theme to it. The empire waist looks great on her figure, and the gold and cream color from her dress makes her skin glow. I love this look, and can't wait to see more of her on furture red carpets.

Kerry Washington Channels Dynasty

I didn't know the Dynasty look was coming back. Those shoulders look dangerous, and are so pointy. I really don't like that Kerry Washington wore this outfit to a Barack Obama event, it may have been better suited for some type of fashion event, but definitely not a political one. I really like the pencil skirt she is wearing, but I wish she did not cover up half of it by pairing it with a long top. Normally when a pencil skirt is worn you want to show off the skirt, because it is very fitted. It's obvious Kerry was trying to be fashion forward, but that top ruins the entire outfit. 

Does She Look Warm Enough?

Let me start off by saying that I absolutely love Beyonce, but I can't say the same for this coat. It looks heavy and very hot. The belt was definitely added to coat, and I am a little confused with why it was added. Since she is showing her bare legs I have to assume that wherever she is the weather is not that cold, but Beyonce always likes to make a fashion statement. The coat would look a lot better without the belt. 

Doing Way Too Much

Where do I begin. This outfit that Omarion wore on BET's 106 & Park is all over the place, and is also a bit on the feminine side. This outfit has gone a little past metro-sexual, and I can actually see a girl wearing this. The scarf is so off with this look. It makes him look like he is about to sit down to eat a meal. The shoes are like fruity pebbles on his feet. Overall I do think he was trying to be fashionable, but this is just not working, and there is too much going on. Please let me know if you like it or love it. 

Not A Good Look

Guess who's little sister this is? Here's a clue, she is a singer that used to be in close company with Irv Gotti and Ja Rule. If you guessed Ashanti you are right. Pictured above is her little sis, Shi Shi. This girl is wearing a sweater not a dress, and how dare she come out the house exposing legs like that. Cottage cheese is not a good accessory with any outfit. I also hope she wore underwear with this. Please ladies don't try and repeat this look it screams "I'm in need of attention from anyone."

Real Or Fake, You Decide

Ok Jade, I see you making moves since being eliminated from America's Next Top Model. It appears that Jade has landed an new ad campaign for Apple Bottoms. Now if memory serves me correctly, Jade had NASATAL (no ass at all) while on Top Model, however she is now ample enough to fill out apple bottom jeans. Do you think Jade's apple bottom is real or fake?

Matrix Chic

All hail to one of the most stylish power couples in the game. I don't care what the haters say, I love seeing Beyonce and Jay-Z together, especially because they always look so fly. Here the happy couple is leaving Le Meurice hotel in Paris, after spending a few days in the city of lights for Jay's b-day last week. The pair looks like a hip hop version of the Matrix's main characters, Neo and Trinty. Even though they look great together, there is one fashion accessory on one of them that I am not feelin'. What is up with the do-rag Jay-Z is wearing? I really wish this was not apart of his outfit.  

Classy In All Black

Christina Milian is really making a fashion comeback. Here she is leaving L.A. hot spot Koi, after having dinner. She has come a long way since her days with Nick Cannon, and she is really stepping up her fashion game. I love this all black look, you can never go wrong with an outfit like this. It is chic and elegant. The only thing I suggest that could be changed, are the length of the pants. Pant length is important because you don't want them to look like high-waters, but pants this length are too long and makes her look as if she is not wearing shoes.

Item Of The Week : Little Black Dress

The little black dress is always a fashion staple, but it is even hotter this season. Solange (pictured below) was trying to rock this trend, but the black dress she picked does absolutely nothing for her figure. Above are some of my top little black dress picks. They are both sexy, flirty, and fashionable. Also not only are they right on trend, they are both very affordable. Remember you don't have to break the bank to look fabulous.

Someone Got Dressed In The Dark

Oh it looks like Solange is screaming for attention once again. This outfit is ridiculous and I don't know if she has a stylist, but if she does and they advised her that this was a good look, they should be fired ASAP. Solange is on trend with the colored stockings. They are all the rage this season, but the dress looks like a baggy satin pillow case with ruffles on her. The worst part of the outfit are the shoes. This checkered pattern clashes so much with the tights, and also I don't think Solange can pull off these shoes period. Someone who could rock them better would be Kelis, or Gwen Stefani. Beyonce and Tina need to get with Solange and pre-approve her outfits before she leaves the house.

Attack Of The Camel Toe

This catsuit looks uncomfortable in one particular area. I didn't know the camel toe was becoming fashionable. I love how Alicia Keys' fashion sense has transformed over the years, however this outfit is just not working. I like the color of the outfit with her skin tone, and everything from the waist up looks great. The waist down is another story, and I really wonder if someone in her entourage noticed the camel toe she was sporting? I mean it is definitely not hard to see. Even with a camel toe 'No One' can deny Alicia's beauty. Here's hoping that her next red carpet outfit will be came toe free.

Is This The New It Bag?

Recently Beyonce was spotted with this new Fendi "To You" bag. I love Fendi, however I am on the fence with this bag. I do like the shape and structure of the bag, but I am not really feelin' the colors. I definitely see this bag becoming a fixture on the shoulders of some celebrities, but I think few will be able to make it work on them. Warning: This bag is not for everyone.

I Hope She Is Wearing Underwear

Where do I begin? Bottom line this is not one of Lil Kim's best looks. I have seen her do better. The dress is way too tight and short, especially when performing to a crowd that has to look upwards to see you. I am sure people in front row saw a whole lot of her, and I'm not talking about just her legs. I do like the color of the dress on her, and her blinged out accessories. We all know that Lil Kim likes to dress living little to the imagination, but I think it's time for her to tone it down just a bit. She will always be sexy, because she has a great hourglass figure that looks great in clothing. I really would like to see her change up her style, and be a little less revealing. Sexiness does not always mean showing more skin.

Pretty In Purple

Recently Mya has been back on the industry radar, and popping up at various events. Here Mya is attending the birthday party of a friend. Mya is looking very nice. She is right on the mark when it comes to wearing the right color. This purple top is deep enough so that it does not wash her out, but instead makes you pay attention even more to her. I love the fact that she added some chunky bangles in silver to add to this look. It's good to see that she didn't over accessorize with this outfit. The top is already creating quite a statement, not only with its color but also with the very low neck line. If she had worn a necklace with this look, she would've been doing way too much. Looking forward to her upcoming album to debut.

Are You Feeling The Scruffy Side of Chris Brown?

Ok ladies be honest, it me or is Chris Brown not looking as cute as he usually does? I am not feeling this new scruffy look. I guess it's cute that he is attempting to get his grown man on and grow a beard, but the baby soft face looked much better. As far as the styling for this shoot, I am not feelin' it. Yes layers are a fashionable trend right now, but I feel like Chris Brown is constantly wearing layers. The gray satin jacket in the last pic is hot, but I am really not feelin' the street take of the "Urkel" looking outfit in the middle.

Eve Is No Longer The Pitbull In A Skirt

I really have to give props to Eve (or her stylist) for her recent choices in outfits lately. As she matures so does her wardrobe. Many women (who will remain nameless, you know who you are V.Fox) in the industry could take note from Eve on dressing age appropriate. The more mature she gets, her wardrobe matures. Her black evening dress perfectly fits her curves, and the sheer element of the dress adds a bit of soft sexiness to the whole outfit. Eve is pictured here at GQ's "Men of the Year" party.
