Beyonce & Solange's New Fashion Ad

This is an advertisement that you will not see in the U.S. Beyonce and Solange are posing for Samantha Thavasa, a Japanese fashion firm. This ad will be a billboard placed in the fashion district of Tokyo.The sisters will be promoting summer 2008 line of handbags. Solange and Beyonce are the first black celebrities ever to star in a campaign for the Tokyo company.

I know that Solange doesn't have a fan club half the size of her sister Beyonce, but I think she looks good in these promo pictures. She is reportedly on the verge of releasing a new album, and from the looks of it, a new style as well. I like that she is taking more risk with fashion choices, and I love her hair. 

So Trashy

Maybe it's the way she is posing in this picture, but this dress that Solange is wearing looks like a trash bag tied up. Solange wore this outfit to a pre grammy party at Avalon nightclub in Hollywood. I wonder if this is another House of Dereon creation. 

Someone Got Dressed In The Dark

Oh it looks like Solange is screaming for attention once again. This outfit is ridiculous and I don't know if she has a stylist, but if she does and they advised her that this was a good look, they should be fired ASAP. Solange is on trend with the colored stockings. They are all the rage this season, but the dress looks like a baggy satin pillow case with ruffles on her. The worst part of the outfit are the shoes. This checkered pattern clashes so much with the tights, and also I don't think Solange can pull off these shoes period. Someone who could rock them better would be Kelis, or Gwen Stefani. Beyonce and Tina need to get with Solange and pre-approve her outfits before she leaves the house.
