Kelis Takes a Walk on the Wild Side

I normally applaud Kelis and her risk taking style, but this look she is wearing gets no love. I have absolutely no idea what she was thinking with these leopard rain boots. I love you Kelis, but the boots have got to go.

Couple Style: Kelis & Nas

Last night Kelis and Nas were spotted leaving a restaurant in Hollywood. They make such a cute couple, even with their very different taste in clothes. Kelis is more of a risk taker, and Nas goes with what he knows and plays it cool, most of the time. I like the casual spring dress Kelis is wearing, but not loving the handbag shoe wore. 

One Hit, One Miss

Kelis and Rihanna attended the Nicole Khristine 2008 spring jewelry launch. Rihanna looked fashion forward as usual in a lace short jumpsuit. The outfit made her legs look very long, and the hot pink nail polish and lip gloss gave her entire outfit a great pop of color. I am really feelin' Kelis' stockings, shoes, and metallic bolero jacket, but her dress is a miss for me. I don't like the patchwork print and lace combination. 

Grammy Red Carpet Fashion

Of course almost everyone knows the 50th Grammys aired last night. Here are just a few celebrities on the red carpet. 

Kelis and Nas sportin' the N word t-shirt and jacket. I know that they are trying to make a staement, but I am not feelin' it.
Chris Brown was certainly a fashion don't on the red carpet. He looks like a candy cane. 
Alicia Keys looked very glamorous in one of three outfits she wore last night. I love the pop of color she added to this look with the clutch she wore.
Keyshia Cole didn't just wear black, but dyed her hair black. Overall she looked nice, but did not have that wow appeal. 

A Wild Premiere

Last night was the premiere of First Sunday, a new movie starring Ice Cube and Tracy Morgan. The red carpet was wild with leopard print, and it was all wrong. The top that Elise Neal is wearing  does nothing for her figure, and the long tie sash in the front is doing way to much. Also she is committing a big fashion don't, never wear animal print on top and on your shoes at the same time. It just looks tacky. Kelis' haircut is cute, and I do like the  baby blue color on her, however that leopard bag does not go well with her outfit. A dark brown bag would've suited this look better.

Fashion Risk Taker

There are few people who can pull off a look like the one Kelis is rockin'. Kelis has a very unique style that enables her to get a way wearing ensembles like this one. I think if I had seen this on anyone else I would have a lot to say about their choice in clothing, however Kelis looks good. The yellow color compliments her skin tone very well, and this outfit is very appropriate for the event she is attending. Here Kelis is at a new year's party at Tao in Las Vegas. Others should not try and duplicate this look, because chances are it's not going to work on you.
